Grace Baptist Church was established in June, 1970, with eighteen people in our first meeting. We met in the American Legion Post in Portland. After a few weeks, we moved to the chapel building of the Westbrook College.

Then, we moved into a small building at our present location.

We built the first year we were here in Portland.

From this small beginning, our church has grown through the years to a membership of around four hundred people on any given Sunday.
